How To Get Your iPhone Out of DFU Mode

I have told you in my last post about How To Enter in DFU Mode on your iPhone. Now, I am going to tell you the simplest way to get your iPhone out of the DFU Mode. You just need to follow the following simple and easy steps.

Step 1: Make sure your iTunes is connected and hold down the ‘Home’ and ‘Sleep/Power’ buttons on the iPhone.

Step 2: Press ‘Power’ button as and this should reboot the device as usual. This procedure is entirely same on an iPod Touch.

(Note: The ‘Home’ button is also known as ‘Sleep’ button)

If you are having difficulties in recovery mode (or DFU) and you do not want to do a restore or firmware upgrade, you can use a tool like TinyUmbrella or RecBoot to escape too. If you are still having difficulties that usually means you must re-install iOS firmware.

Unlock iPhone 4S now available (pre-orders open)

The wait is finally coming to an end for owners of the iPhone 4S. An unlock solution has finally arrived and will be in use between 20-27 of February. Many people may not know the new dev team, though they have been doing extensive work on unlocking the iPhone 4 and 4S. It can be somewhat safely assumed that the claims from the Chinasn0w dev team are authentic. The reason for this is that they have been actively contributing to the hardware unlock scene for months now. In addition to this , Beijingphonerepair.com is endorsing this which should add to the credibility of this unlock.

The developers of the TPSIM that will unlock the iPhone 4S have said that the sim interposers will release between the 20th and 27th of February.

The Chinasn0w dev team has put a steep price of $84.95, though this does include the shipping price all the way from China. Update: Possible Baseband 4.11.08 unlock coming soon

ApplenBerry seems to be getting ready to announce something relating to their new sim unlock solution. ApplenBerry was quoted as saying on Twitter:

“If we received 20,000 Likes on Applenberry and GEVEY Fan Page. I will release some information about the progress of of the New GEVEY.”

This may be a very small short message but this implies a lot of things. This means that SOMETHING is happening over at ApplenBerry. What exactly could it mean?

They have made some progress and a re reporting.They have finished the sim unlock.They have finished the sim unlock and are issuing a release date!

A few weeks ago ApplenBerry confirmed that they were working on a 4.11.08 baseband unlock. It would make sense that this is something relating to the subject. Sadly there is no way of knowing what they will say until they say it.

Alternatively this can just be a publicity stunt that is attempting to get some followers on twitter and Facebook… Cross your fingers that it will be the hardware unlock for baseband 4.11.08!

Unlock Baseband 4.11.08 (so close!)

The wait is finally coming to a close… all of you readers who own a very expensive iPod touch, meaning your iPhone 4, will soon be usable as a phone again! There has been many rumors about unlocks circulating through youtube and the rest of the Internet about baseband 4.11.08 being unlocked. For the last few months there has seemed to be a loss of hope for everyone unfortunate enough to upgrade to baseband 4.11.08. This has changed recently due to responses from ApplnBerry, the creator of Gevey sim, and other authoritative developers.

There have been many different fraudulent videos about 4.11.08 on YouTube. Many of these were just tricks with video editing or the unlock would only last for 5 minutes and then be locked again. So frustrating! There was also Miracle sim which claimed to have a sim card ready that would work with the 4.11.08 baseband, there has been no news from them in more than a month. Then there was the developer, react0r, who made waves in jailbreaking news for a few weeks and then didn’t deliver. There was an update from react0r’s page on February 12th about unlocking baseband 4.11.08… it seems doubtful that any progress will be made, but he says that he still knows how to do it and is still making progress… we will all have to wait and see if he is just another fraud or if he is being honest about the unlock exploit. Either ways he posted in addition to much more, this:

Dear websites just copy this post before it reported and deleted! just Wait another post maybe help full for some MC318LL.. i just unlocked another iPhone 4 with a simple way! i post it today when i have some readers in this post!”  to read the full post click here

There has been news from ApplnBerrry about their work on the baseband 4.11.08 unlock in the past few days. They claim that they are working on the unlock and that it should be done between mid February and March. So there you have it! Baseband 4.11.08 will finally be unlocked in the next few weeks!

The New iPad has the Fastest Processor “A5X” quad-core graphics for gaming, which is more powerful version of A5 processor currently in the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S. It comes with 5 Megapixel iSight Camera, Speedier Wireless Connectivity Ultrafast 4G LTE ,HD video recording in 1080p,10 hours battery, 9hours on 4G.

Initially Apple has sold the new iPad in the following Apple stores in 10 countries, including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Switzerland, the UK and the U.S. Virgin Islands

Apple will launch the new iPad in 24 more countries this Friday at 8:00 am, including Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macau, Mexico, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.

Apple Disabling Siri Ports on older iPhones/ How to fix it

There has been a  way of porting Siri to the iPhone 4 for a while now where you use Spire and use a remote server for Siri. If you want to know more information about installing Siri check our “install Siri for iPhone 4 Guide”. This has been a perfectly legal way of getting Siri on your iPhone 4. However there seems to be a new problem arising with this Siri port…

We have been receiving reports that people are having issues with their Siri port on non-iPhone 4S devices. This is due to the addition of SiriActivationToken. This is an addition from Apple in an attempt to stop people from using Siri on unauthorized devices. this may be the beginning of another cat and mouse game between hackers and Apple.

For now, as of February 14th, 2012,  you can fix your Siri port by simply deleting the file: “com.apple.assistant.plist” .This will be located under the  the directory: var/mobile/Library/Preferences/com.apple.assistant.plistIn order to find and delete this file you will need to have a ssh client or iFile (or something similar), this will allow you to navigate to the file location in order to delete it.

WeeKillBackground: A New easy and light way to kill applications fast!

WeeKillBackground is a great tweak that allows you to close all of you applications that are running in the background. I know that I personally havea had many times where I just open far too many things and have way too many things going on in the background on my iPhone. This application takes care of this by closing all application at the same time.

There are somethings about this tweak that make it very nice! you can kill all of the background apps in less that a second by just accessing the notification center where there is a kill all background apps button. There is also a huge amount of customizability in the application. allowing you to change the size of the area you tap in the notifications center and you can also add a picture there of your choice. In addition to this there are also options for scheduled background application closing, background close exceptions, and many other small little tweaks to the already great tweak.

The new tweak is available via the bigboss repo and cost $.099. Of course there are other sources where you can find it for free as well.

How To Enter DFU Mode On Your iPhone

If you want to restore your iPhone firmware and your recovery mode is not working and you could not restore your iPhone. Then I am going to tell you the other way to restore your iPhone. You just need to put your iPhone in DFU Mode. DFU Mode does not load the firmware or OS currently installed before restore attempt. DFU Mode considers as the last way to restore the iPhone if Recovery Mode is not working or you are facing error while restoring your iPhone. I am going to tell you how to enter in DFU Mode in iPhone. Just follow the following simple and easy steps.

Step 1: Connect your iPhone via USB cable and then open iTunes.

Step 2: Press ‘Home’ and ‘Sleep/Wake’ buttons at the same time and then hold them.

Step 3: Hold both buttons for exact 10 seconds, and then release the Sleep/Wake button but keep holding the ‘Home’ button until iTunes appears that it has found an iPhone in ‘Recovery Mode’. Now click on ‘OK’ button.

(Your iPhone screen will look like this)

(Note: This process may take a few attempts to get your iPhone into DFU Mode)

How to completely close applications

You may have experienced this a few times: something goes wrong in an application and it isn’t working properly, you close exit the application and open it again to find that it is still in the same bad state that t was in before! This is extremely annoying unless you know how to completely close an application. In causal terms in the iPhone users word we call this “killing an app”. 

Killing an app and starting it again completely restarts the application. This is extremely useful for situations where the application is acting very strangely. The other use for killing an app is to free up memory on your iDevice. Your iDevice is very much like a normal computer and uses memory for applications that are running. Some of these applications continue to run in the background when you exit the application; this can take up lots of memory that you need for something else.

Killing an app is very easy! follow these directions to kill an app:

1. Press the home button twice quickly

The home button is the only other button than the power button on your iDevice, you can find it on the bottom

You will see all of the programs that you have used recently (this is the multitasking bar, you can use this to quickly change between applications during normal use).

 2. Tap and hold your finger on the application icon you want to close

After holding your finger down on the icon for about 5 seconds, the icons will begin to shake and you will see minus (-) signs next to all of the applications.

3. Tap on the red minus signs of the applications you want to “kill”

This does not delete the application, it just closes the application completely.

In the example all of the applications in the background have been killed.
